Haddow Partnership is a practice of eight
with four fully qualified architects. Our office is situated in the
old Market Square of Basingstoke. The practice has a wide range of
work from commercial offices to large-scale domestic projects, school
buildings to major extensions as well as interiors. The practice is
interested in designing buildings within principles of sustainable
development, and also to be fully accessible. We use energy efficient
techniques in our construction and specify low maintenance materials.
The practice is skilled and experienced in working efficiently within
tight budgets and timescales, and we always strive for a solution,
which brings quality of design to the setting, and to craft a building
carefully suited to its purpose.
We have successfully developed the use of high quality visual techniques,
made possible with the advanced software, Graphisoft's ArchiCAD,
licensed
to the practice, and in the year 1999, received the award for the
best use of this software in Britain. To assist in achieving a successful
solution, advanced 3D modelling software is used from a project's
inception. This enables designers to accurately visualise a proposal
within its context and allows our clients to easily participate
in
the design process, a procedure the practice encourages.
The practice is committed to high quality presentations for planning
applications. This is particularly important in situations where planning
issues are sensitive and the case for granting approval can be strengthened
by a clear representation of a good quality design.
Haddow Partnership is an 'Investor in People', embraces a commitment
to training and development of its staff, and has an equal opportunities
policy.
Haddow Partnership has been shortlisted for this year's RIBA Ibstock
Downland Prize with the House at Woolbury due to be announced at the
end of September. They were also shortlisted (one of ten) last year
for the RIBA South Awards for their extension at The Old Rectory and
RIBA Ibstock Downland Prize. |
